Today Jessica Simpson was honored at the 40th Annual Outstanding Mother Awards and while there, she gave interviews during which she opened up about her favorite job ever – raising her two kids Maxwell, 6 and 4-year-old Ace. To mark the special occasion, Simpson walked the event’s red carpet at the side of her own mom, Tina.
‘The fact that people think I am doing a pretty good job is the best compliment. The most rewarding part of motherhood being a mother is really just watching my kids grow. It is like, how much knowledge they have about life is just so meaningful to me, and how much heart they put into everything they do. There is just nothing like the innocence of a child,’ Simpson gushed during a chat with ET.
The artist made it very clear that it is in no way easy to balance both her career and parenthood.
So what is the key to succeeding in both? Apparently remaining loyal to her children while keeping creative.

As for the perfect Mother’s Day celebration in her opinion, she dished: ‘I would love to just, hang out and do a picnic, because we have been in New York and going to Broadway and all kinds of stuff, so for my kids to bring me some breakfast in bed, do a picnic outside, would be great.’
As you may remember, not too long ago, Simpson proved that she is a great mother by throwing daughter Maxwell an epic Greatest Showman-themed birthday party.
‘My daughter’s favorite movie’s The Greatest Showman. We have seen it, literally 100 times, at least! Maxwell was doing flips, and we were celebrating all types of people, unique, everybody’s unique[ness] and individuality.’
Her son is turning 5 next month, and the mom of two is still brainstorming ideas for his own epic party.
‘Ace just wants some parrots and baseball, so we’ll see how they put that together,’ she stated.
