Fans of Counting On know that the Duggar girls – including Jessa Duggar Seewald, Jinger Duggar Vuolo, Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth, and Jana Duggar – are good at wedding planning and having babies, but it seems they have also become pros at shutting down critics. Each of them gets a lot of opportunities to clap back at their haters, with backlash and criticism seeming to come after every one of their social media posts. But, there is no need to feel sorry for these reality stars, because they can obviously take care of themselves.
According to Romper, the Duggar women may appear to be all sweet and smiley, but they have all managed to perfect a specific way of going after their critics – an epic burn or a photo.
This is real life, y'all. ?❤ *swipe left to see more pics of my house today in all its shining glory* 1.) 6+ loads of laundry piled on the guest bed… can we just take a moment to celebrate the fact that it's CLEAN laundry. ? 2.) Side table that probably hasn't been dusted in at least 6 months. 3.) Henry's dried spit up on my side of the bed, that I've slept on for who knows how many nights. 4.) Handprints on the mirror, and Spurgeon's beautiful artwork that happened when he found a pen that was left out. 5.) Pile of diapers on the top of my dresser… pretty sure these all collected in the past 12 hours. 6.) Blocks scattered again, not bc Spurgeon was building with them… just bc it's like his favorite thing to dump them out and hear them clang on the hardwood floors. Haha! 7.) Sink full of dishes. 8.) Oil splatters and food particles on the stovetop. Probably has been a few months since it's been wiped down. 9.) Toddler handprint on the fridge door. ? 10.) Dust collection on the front of the HVAC intake…ha! But hey, at least we're replacing the filter every month! ? There's a never ending to-do list. Some of these tasks have been accomplished today, others haven't. (We have guest staying with us over the weekend, so that's a motivation to prioritize the laundry on the guest bed. ?) Some of y'all may be thinking, "C'mon now, it only takes a few min to dust or wipe down a mirror…" I know, it is so. My reminder today has been that the same is true of the needs of the little people in our lives. I might think "I don't have time right now." But it only takes a few min… here and there. A few mins here, spent cuddling a fussy baby. A few mins there, singing lullabies as a toddler drifts off to sleep. 5 mins here, to read a book. 10 min there, engaging in imaginative play. Not trying to pit a clean house against interaction with kids– sometimes both are possible, tho often they do seem in opposition to one another ?. Just remember, whatever projects are pulling at your time and attention today, don't forget to make time for the people around you. These are the memories that will last forever. ??
Duggar haters have gone after the family more than once for allegedly “training” their children, a child-raising tactic that some believe is a little too close to what people do with dogs. When one of Jessa Duggar’s Instagram followers accused her of treating her kids like animals, she was quick to respond.
“We train for occupations, we train for jobs, we hire personal trainers for fitness… and we train/teach our kiddos in right behavior in the hopes that we will grow up to be caring, thoughtful, responsible adults. But I agree – dogs are not humans. Thank you for making that distinction,” wrote Jessa.
The 25-year-old is becoming the “queen of the Duggar smackdown” because she is the most active of all of her sisters on social media and seems to come under attack more often than most.
When fans went after her for her messy home, the mom-of-two didn’t apologize, but instead shared a photo gallery of her house and said that it is more important to spend time with your kids than to dust or wipe down a mirror.
Joy-Anna and Jinger have both simply used pictures to silence their haters when it came to their baby bumps. For Joy-Anna, the conspiracy theories were running rampant about a shotgun wedding and premarital sex. The 20-year-old married Austin Forsyth in May 2017, and some fans were sure she would have her baby by the end of the year, proving that she got pregnant before her wedding day.
But, when Christmastime rolled around, Joy-Anna shared a photo of her huge baby bump and then didn’t give birth until February – exactly nine months after tying the knot.
As for Jinger, when fans started questioning her pregnancy after her husband Jeremy Vuolo posted a picture of the couple with no baby bump in sight, the 24-year-old responded by giving a 25-week pregnancy update showing off her giant belly which has obviously popped over the past couple of weeks.
But, let’s not forget Jana, the “Cinderella Duggar.” At 28, she is still single and doesn’t have any children, and some fans just can’t handle that concept, since her family is known for marrying young and immediately popping out kids.
So, how did she respond? In an interview with TLC, Jana simply said, “I’m just not out to get married to the first one who comes along.”
Catch Jessa Duggar and the rest of her sisters when new episodes of Counting On return to TLC later this summer.
