The Voice judge is still involved in a huge legal battle with her ex David Otunga. Jennifer Hudson and the man are set to show up in court in about a week in order to settle the custody of their eight-year-old son. That being said, we have learned that much to the mother’s disappointment, the little boy would rather spend his time with the father!
Earlier in the month, the singer filed an order of protection against Otunga, claiming that the man was violent towards both her and their son, David Jr.
But after her ex’s attorney denied her accusations, which included him kidnapping the boy from school without her knowledge and threatening her with a gun, the star agreed to change the order and allow the father-son duo to spend Thanksgiving together!
One source has revealed that David Jr. had so much fun with his father during the holiday that he did not want to go back to Hudson’s!
‘David and his son were so upset that he had to go back to his mother and David Jr. did not want to go. He begged to stay with his daddy,’ the family insider explained.
But we are not surprised the boy would rather live with his dad considering he’s the one who primarily took care of him while Hudson was busy with The Voice.
She spent a lot of time away from home, including when she coached the contestants for the U.K. version.
Do you believe Jennifer Hudson should be granted full custody of her son?
