A source on set claimed that she was like a completely different person! Last night during the shooting of The Voice, all eyes were on Jennifer Hudson despite the fact that the top 12 contestants were supposed to be in the limelight.
This was the coach’s first appearance on the singing competition following her separation and ugly custody battle.
One insider had revealed that the woman was extremely emotional on set while taping the episode.
Fortunately, however, ‘she did not make a scene. She arrived on time, did the show and left right after it was wrapped.’
The entire season Hudson was bashed for her diva behavior and heavy criticism towards the contestants, but last night she was apparently on her best behavior.
‘It was like she was a different person, and actually showed compassion to contestants,’ the source noted.
She even went out of her way to tell a contestant from Miley Cyrus‘s team: ‘Tonight you represented the power of music and what it can do. You did what this show is about. You showed us you have a voice.’
As you may already be aware, Hudson filed for an order of protection against her ex, accusing Otunga of ‘increasingly aggressive, threatening and harassing behavior.’
The star also managed to gain temporary full custody of their child together.
Otunga has denied ever abusing his estranged partner and son, be it physically or emotionally.
