It looks like the actress was really impressed by Ariana Grande’s decision to pay tribute to her in Thank U, Next’s music video. As fans know already, in the clip, the singer parodied different characters in popular culture, including Jennifer Garner’s Jenna Rink from the film 13 Going 30.
Other cult classics that she referenced are Legally Blonde, Mean Girls and Bring It On!
Jennifer Garner was touched by the tribute and took to social media to gush over Ariana’s portrayal of her 2004 character.
The star posted the part of the music video where Grande is shown holding that iconic dollhouse.
In the caption, Garner wrote: ‘Every now and then something comes along and just brightens your entire day. @arianagrande you are adorable. Thank you, pretty girl.’ So much love!
And that was not all! Ariana couldn’t be any happier with the reaction she got from the actress.
She commented: ‘NooooooooOoOOoOo I am crying. I watched this movie every night before bed growing up (and I still do sometimes, especially when I am sad). I adore you! Thank you for all of the inspiration and joy you have brought to my life I am screaming bye. And by sometimes I literally mean every night still.’
Isn’t this one of the best star interactions you’ve ever seen lately? Simply iconic!
And it looks like Garner couldn’t have enough either when she also mentioned on her Insta Stories that Ariana looked even more like Jenna Rink than the actress had ever.
Meanwhile, Mark Ruffalo, who played Garner’s love interest in the movie also tweeted about the music video, telling Ariana that he was eating Razzles in her honor – referencing the movie.
Even Lindsay Lohan was ‘flattered’ to see Mean Girls parodied in Thank U, Next although she just had to mention that ‘Ain’t nobody Lindsay Lohan like the real Lindsay Lohan.’
