Jennifer Garner was Ellen DeGeneres’ co-host for her talk show’s Mother’s Day Special. While there, the Hollywood actress shared her experience learning about her first pregnancy and more!
‘I woke up that morning and just knew, and I peed on the stick, and it was so faint,’ Garner recalled.
The next step was asking her doctor to do another test in his office.
‘He gave me one and said, ‘I don’t know, you are not pregnant. It’s negative.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I am. I am telling you I am.’ So [my daughter Violet is] 12, and I do not use that doctor anymore, but I have her, so I won!’ she joked.
It sounds like Jennifer really knows her body for her to notice changes so early in the pregnancy!
Unfortunately, the mother of three had to deal with more and more nausea every time she was expecting.
‘I was nauseous for Violet, then with Sera, my middle daughter, I had to listen to Yo-Yo Ma at night. It got worse throughout the day. It was not like in the morning and then I was fine. As the day went on, it was worse. For some reason, Yo-Yo Ma got me through. Then with the third kid, just forget it. It was like Happy Meals. It is just gross. It is gross what you do,’ Jennifer dished.
As fans know already, Garner is the mother of 12-year-old Violet, 9-year-old Seraphina and 6-year-old Samuel, all fathered by her former husband Ben Affleck.
For all of her three pregnancies, there were two constants according to the actress.
‘One of the things for me being pregnant is first, you can tell day two, and second of all, I carried a baby in the back as much as I did in the front. So I would catch myself in the mirror and be like, ‘Ah! What’s that? So big, oh my god, there is another thing growing back there!’’ Garner joked.
She was referring, of course, to her gaining weight in the booty area.
