Newly-single Jennifer Aniston is experiencing an overwhelming low after her split from Justin Theroux, and the former Friends star is seeking moral support in an unlikely place – one of her ex-boyfriends – and it’s not Brad Pitt. Pals of the actress say that Aniston is leaning on Scottish actor Gerard Butler, whom she dated back in 2010, and they have rekindled their connection.
According to The Mirror, the two have been talking non-stop.
“She isn’t going to rush headlong into a new romance with anyone right away, but she’s really touched that Gerard is doing everything possible to console her,” reveals an insider.
Die-hard fans were disappointed when Aniston and Theroux announced their split last week after nearly two-and-a-half years of marriage, but they shouldn’t get their hopes up about a new relationship with either Butler or Pitt.
When it comes to Pitt, there are six reasons that there will not be a reunion – his six kids he shares with Angelina Jolie.

Because there is so much bad blood between Aniston and Jolie, it could cause a lot of problems for Pitt in his divorce settlement. And, the possibility of the kids meeting Aniston during a visit could send Jolie through the roof.
Pitt would never let anyone come between him and his kids, so if a rekindled romance with Aniston would cause him custody problems, it’s just not going to happen.
Aniston’s publicist has confirmed that Pitt has not been her “shoulder to cry on” since her relationship with Theroux fell apart, calling it “another fabrication.”
Some publications had claimed that Aniston and Pitt had been super close over the past several months after he and Jolie split. But even if they have been friendly over the years, reports of her retaining affection for her first husband are exaggerated, and they are “absolutely not together.”
Aniston and Theroux announced their shocking split last week, just one day after Valentine’s Day, and the couple saw each other for one last time late at night on the romantic holiday.

They met up to decide when to announce their separation, with Aniston wanting to wait, but Theroux wanting to get it over with. They eventually decided to break the news the next day, so fans could avoid the rumors and get the truth straight from them.
The bicoastal couple tried to make their marriage work, but her love of living in Los Angeles and his preference for life in New York City reportedly contributed to the breakup.
In their joint statement announcing the separation, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux said they are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple. However, they look forward to continuing their friendship, which they both cherish.
