The fairytale ending was not meant to be for Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux. The former Friends star is notoriously “unlucky in love,” and after it is all said and done, the couple’s engagement lasted longer than their marriage. The two just couldn’t come to an agreement on how and where they should spend their lives together. Is it possible Aniston’s relationship was doomed from the very beginning?
Aniston and Theroux met on the set of the 2012 comedy Wanderlust, and the couple got engaged in August of that year. However, three years later, the couple had yet to tie the knot, and fans started to wonder if the heavyweight actors would ever get married.
But then, in August 2015, news emerged that the couple had finally exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony in their backyard, and it was a surprise to everyone who attended.

According to The Mirror, the former couple invited 70 guests to their home, and she explained that it was an early surprise birthday party for Theroux. But when everyone arrived and got a peek at the cake that featured two puppets on top, it quickly became clear that the party was a surprise wedding.
They were able to keep their plans top secret, and sources say that Aniston pulled it off because she took all the staffers’ cell phones, so no one could take pictures.
But it wasn’t long before the honeymoon was over, and the two started living on opposite ends of the country while they worked on their own separate projects. By the end of last year, the couple went over two months without seeing each other.
The final pictures of the two of them together surfaced at the beginning of the new year while they vacationed in Cabo San Lucas, and by that time the relationship appeared to be over. Body language expert Judi James says that the photos showed Theroux attempting to keep his distance from Aniston, even though she was trying to attract his attention.

There is no evidence that Aniston’s ex-husband, Brad Pitt, had anything to do with her split from Theroux, but now that both are single, fans are begging for the former couple to get back together.
Pitt split from Angelina Jolie back in September 2016, and social media is buzzing with quotes and memes predicting a Pitt and Aniston reconciliation.
In one tweet, someone wrote that the two are getting back together and they were the first to call it, while another fan suggested that Aniston is currently crafting her “Hey let’s grab coffee and catch up” text for Pitt.
Neither Jennifer Aniston or Justin Theroux have commented on their split besides their joint statement.
