It seems that Jenna Dewan’s daughter Everly, who is 4 years old, already has a head start on respecting and loving nature. Dewan revealed at a recent event that highlights the importance of taking care of the environment, that her little mini-me tells her all the time to respect nature and to recycle.
Even at her young age, she understands the consequences that human behavior and lifestyle choices can have on the planet.
Dewan says that she and estranged husband, Channing Tatum, cannot take credit for this passion for nature that their daughter possesses.
The dancer and actress admits that her daughter goes to many different camps where she is surrounded by nature.
One of the camps is called fairy camp. While it may sound very whimsical and fairytale-ish, it’s a bit more like Girl Scouts than many would guess.
In fact, the girls learn a lot about the planet and taking care of the earth while going on field trips to various outdoor locations around Los Angeles.
Dewan is handling mothering in stride, especially amongst the split with Tatum.
She reveals that she tries not to burn the candle at both ends by making sure that she takes care of herself.
Her favorite forms of self-care include having a spa day, going on a hike with friends or meditating.
She also swears by having cell phone free nights at home, moments where she can recharge, not respond to emails or texts and just binge watch her favorite TV Shows.
Also, she says going to bed early is one of her favorite ways to decompress. This is an interesting choice as so many don’t realize how impactful and helpful getting consistent and full nights of sleep can be.
Sleep is restorative and nourishing in a way that many other things simply aren’t.
Dewan and Tatum have been separated for some time and announced the separation in April. They are committed to amicably co-parenting Everly.
