We have learned that while Jenelle Evans was in danger of losing her job on Teen Mom just like her husband David Eason, the execs were actually considering replacing her with Mackenzie McKee. As fans of the show know already, David went on a homophobic and transphobic rant on social media, and that ended his reality TV career.
One insider on set revealed that ‘Mackenzie is filming a short special right now. MTV wanted to continue with her story for a while. They want to bring her back.’
‘This is a test for her, but she may be the one who replaces Jenelle if the network fires her,’ another source added.
In fact, McKee was considered for replacing Farrah Abraham as well after she was axed for returning to the porn industry.
McKee has been waiting for quite some time to get a spot, but her addition was once before postponed when they decided to hire Briana DeJesus instead.
But when Jenelle’s job was threatened following David’s tweets, McKee seemed to be given some hope.
The man wrote: ‘Lmao why don’t you go tell the homo and transgender parents to start teaching their kids better morals? Oh I forgot that’s supposed to be normal.’
MTV released an official statement reading: ‘David Eason’s personal comments do not reflect the views of MTV. With six weeks left of production on ‘Teen Mom 2,’ effective immediately, we are ending our relationship with him.’
Even after the disgusting comments, Jenelle still supported her man.
‘Jenelle said she wants to quit the show. She wants to show support for her husband and says they’re a team,’ one other insider claimed.
So maybe McKee still has a chance? Do you think Jenelle would really leave Teen Mom voluntarily?
