In addition to Jay’s comments on Donald Trump recently on the Van Jones Show, the rapper opened up again about his marriage to Béyonce and how they fixed their romance following significant marital mishaps.
Van Jones asked Jay what it is about marriage that makes a person fight so hard to save it? The rapper said she is his “soulmate” and that for those who have never experienced such a powerful emotion such as love, they don’t have the necessary tools to make a relationship work.
He said, “you’re going to have complications, period.” The rapper revealed that they chose to address their problems to “give (their) kids a different outcome,” and to break the negative cycle.
As you may know, since the release of Jay’s newest album, 4:44, the media has been focused on the alleged infidelity rumors sparked by lyrics which said he almost “let the baddest girl in the world” get away.
Additionally, Beyonce addressed the speculation on her album, Lemonade, where she tells a man guilty of cheating to “call Becky with the good hair.”
Jay-Z later spoke with the New York Times Style Magazine where he revealed that they had experienced significant ups and downs. However, they learned to move past the challenges, and have grown to be a much stronger couple as a result.
The “Big Pimpin” rapper said for a long time, they dwelled right in the middle of the hurricane, and it was there where the pain sat.
It was the best place to be to figure out how to heal. Since then, everything is going great between the celebrity pair, who are allegedly showing up to the Grammy Awards and taking a spot in the front row.
