It is 2004 all over again, Janet Jackson and her alleged ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, have the world talking about their performance at the Super Bowl.
For maximum drama and eyeballs, in 2018, the NFL has picked Timberlake to sing, grind, and put on his best Michael Jackson imitation on the Super Bowl halftime show stage.
This is happening almost 13 years after Timberlake and Jackson shocked the world and caused chaos at the Super Bowl by exposing a breast.
Jackson’s career went downhill, fingers were pointed, and fines were given out.
Many of Jackson’s fans are hoping that Timberlake should invite her on stage and apologize to her.
A source close to the diva said Timberlake has not yet reached out to her, but if he does, she would be a wreck on stage.
The source added: “It is not a 100 percent done deal if Janet was asked to join Justin this year at the Super Bowl. She would really have to think about it and is leaning towards saying no. She was skewered the last time she did it from the NFL and so many others, and it is hard to get rid of those emotions she felt when she was attacked for what happened.”
The spy went on to reveal: “Nobody ever apologized to her. And to add to that, though she has worked with Pepsi in the past herself, she feels that it would be weird to work with them again, especially since Pepsi is forever tied to her brother Michael [Jackson]‘s permanent injury when his hair and head were burned. So Janet is at a crossroads right now on if she would accept any future invitation from Justin to do the show.”
The NFL has issued a statement saying that Jackson is not banned from the halftime show but did not confirm nor deny that she would participate in the event.
The statement read: “There’s no ban. We are not going to comment on any speculation regarding potential guests. There may be no guests. Along with Pepsi, we are excited to have Justin Timberlake.”
Super Bowl 2018 will take place on February 4 at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
