As you may be aware, Janet Jackson called the police not too long ago just to check on her baby boy’s wellbeing while he was with his father, Wissam Al Mana. Apparently, it all started when the nanny who was helping Janet’s ex-husband take care of little one-year-old Eissa contacted her to say he was acting violently.
That being said, we have learned that Al Mana was pretty aggressive towards the singer as well in the past.
Apparently, he was ‘verbally abusive’ and she is still struggling to get over that difficult time.
Janet and Wissam got married in secret back in 2012, and last year, only three months after welcoming their son, she filed for divorce.
One insider told ET that while married to him ‘Janet lived a life where she felt controlled at every moment. She does not want her son growing up with the same feelings.’
Allegedly, while at first, the mother wanted to co-parent the baby with his dad, she now wants to receive full custody.
On the other hand, the man is reportedly already not happy with the current custody arrangement that forces him to have a caregiver around while with the child. His time is also legally limited.
‘Janet feels out of control during Wissam’s visitations with their baby and worries nonstop.’
‘Janet and Wissam are on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to raising baby Eissa, and this has made their split even worse. She wants a Western world upbringing, and Wissam would like his son to learn his upbringing,’ the same source went on.
In addition due to their inability to work together, the divorce proceedings have been postponed.
‘Lawyers have not completed their divorce papers because it has been impossible to get Janet and Wissam to agree on anything. They cannot be in the same room together and, at this point, there’s no mediation. There seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to this divorce. It has been really hard on the whole family.’
