Jake Tapper is having a Twitter feud with Donald Trump supporters because of a religious tweet. In case you were unaware of it, Twitter is the place where President Trump announces his policies, take advice, and slam his detractors. These days Trump’s primary target is the media, more specifically CNN, which he has given the unflattering nickname Fake News. Journalists have been calling out Trump for the many outrageous comments that he has been making about millions of illegals, who voted for Hillary Clinton and pushed her to win the popular vote.
Trump has many journalists losing their mind over the fake stories about his inauguration crowd that was supposedly bigger than Barack Obama’s. One of those TV personalities, who seem fed up with the faux headlines being pushed by the Trump administration, is the Chief Washington Correspondent for CNN, Jake Tapper.
Thursday, Mr. Tapper, who is also the anchor of the CNN weekday television news show, “The Lead with Jake Tapper,” made an unprecedented move, he called out Trump and his supporters with a bible verse. Tapper quoted the Book of Proverbs, Chapter 12 verse 2, which reads: “Proverbs 12:22: Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, but those who act faithfully are his delight.”
Tapper never mentioned Trump’s name, but his supporters were able to read between the lines and went after the journalist in an epic way. One person told the host of CNN International Sunday morning affairs program, “State of the Union,” that he works with a network that spread lies. The man tweeted: “Fake News CNN is an abomination to the LORD, especially Lying Jake Tapper.”
A woman said that Trump has never lied and that God is watching over POTUS. The female supporter wrote: “Obviously, the Lord’s smiling on Trump who’ss faithful to his promises & has NEVER lied- only you & your MSNBC counterparts have”
Another wondered, why didn’t Tapper call out Democrats like Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton when they lied. The Trump backer wrote: “Did you quote this about Hillary, Obama, Harry, or Nancy. If not why not?”
Another person claimed that Tapper would go to hell. Tapper responded by saying that he believes that the people who support Trump hate God and love lies.
