Jada Pinkett Smith and Toni Braxton discussed marriage and divorce as well during a recent episode of Red Table Talk. Find out what Jada had to say.
The conversation was followed by a Facebook Live version of the show during the past Wednesday.
Jada and her mom had invited a psychotherapist for this occasion, and a lot of interesting things surfaced.
It seems that the interaction with Stacy Kaiser has led to the issue of Jada’s relationship with her husband’s ex-wife Sheree Fletcher.
‘You need to find a way to get along with them because you wouldn’t be dating that person if it weren’t for the person who they broke up with,’ Stacy said.
Jada agreed and said that ‘One of the coping mechanisms with me with Sheree was really, like, ‘Hey, she gifted me.’ She really did. She gifted me. She’s not an enemy. She did me a favor. But then on top of that, I had to go into an even deeper psychology of, ‘She’s Trey’s mother,’ as my relationship with Trey deepened.’
She continued and explained that until the relationship is developing and you can finally start to see the importance, and you have affecit0on for the child, this becomes the main priority.
Recently Jada also stated that she knew from the very beginning that her mother and father had a ‘violent relationship’ in its origins.
Airing on the 19th of November, the latest episode of Red Table Talk featured Jada talking about domestic violence, and you can read more about what went down here.
Jada’s father had died eight years ago back in 2010, and it seems that other family members also used to have better experiences with him.
