During the first episode of Jada Pinkett Smith’s new Facebook talk show, the actress, and wife of Will Smith admitted there was something she did in the past that she vehemently regretted. In its premiere episode, Jada brought on Will’s ex-wife, Sheree Whitfield, to talk about their past beef.
The 46-year-old actress spoke with Sheree and they had an honest conversation about past regrets, mistakes, and things they’ve learned as experienced, mature, and independent women.
In case you didn’t know, Sheree and Will were married right around the same time that his acting career began to kick off in a big way. Pinkett-Smith started dating Will when he was still married to the reality star, Whitfield, and Sheree and Will shared a three-year-old son together at the time, Trey.
However, luckily for Jada, she and Will have been married for over twenty years and haven’t looked back. They’ve become one of Hollywood’s favorite couples.
Pinkett-Smith said during the conversation that, at the time, she didn’t understand divorce or marriage, and admits she “probably should have fallen back.”
Sheree said, “you think?” Nevertheless, the two women didn’t just laugh about past mistakes. Sheree said the first time Trey met Jada, he came home that day and revealed he really liked her. Sheree, who was so glad that Jada took care of her son, burst into tears and the two women hugged it out.
As it was previously reported, Jada and her daughter, Willow Smith, as well as her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Jones, host the show together.
Pinkett-Smith said to People Magazine earlier in the week that Red Table Talk is about “raw truth, love, and deep passion.” Stay tuned for more details regarding Jada’s new project.
