Jada Pinkett Smith has made headlines repeatedly over the last few weeks, ever since the release of her show on Facebook, Red Table Talk. The 46-year-old actress revealed in the latest episode of her series that she treated both of her children the exact same way when they were growing up as kids.
The wife of Will Smith dished on her family struggles in a new episode of Red Table Talk, alongside her young daughter, Willow, and her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Jones.
During the show, Willow stated that men don’t deal with the same amount of danger as women, despite the fact that men are overwhelmingly overrepresented in homicides, suicides, war, and work-related fatalities.
Pinkett Smith said, “do you know how many men I know that have been raped as young boys?” Smith went on to explain to her daughter that she was equally as protective of her children, regardless of their gender.
Later on in the conversation, the rest of the women continue to talk about how they learned how to become comfortable with their sexuality. Pinkett-Smith explains that her mother, Adriene, opened her up to the topic of sex for the first time – something for which she is very grateful.
Pinkett-Smith said that her grandmother taught her that sexual pleasure comes from within, and not from a man. Smith explained that it was an exercise in independence and self-reliance.
“And she taught me at 9!” the Hollywood star explained. Previously, Jada revealed her longstanding beef with her fellow actress, Bad Boys II star, Gabrielle Union.
On the show, Jada explained that she and Gabrielle Union fought for years. However, they didn’t get into precise detail as to what exactly caused it.
Jada and Gabrielle said they didn’t even remember what it was all about, but most of their fans think that’s merely just a way of avoiding telling the public what started it.
