Jada Pinkett Smith talked about a huge fear of hers. The star revealed that she has struggled with hair loss and only the thought of actually going bald terrifies her.
During her Facebook Watch show, titled Red Table Talk, the actress explained why she wears head accessories so often.
‘It was terrifying when it first started. I was showering one day, then just had handfuls of hair in my hands and Iwas just like, ‘Oh, my God, am I going bald?’ It was one of those times in my life where I’m literally shaking with fear. That is why I cut my hair, and why I continue to cut it,’ Jada told her fans.
Apparently, despite visiting many experts and getting ‘every kind of test, there is,’ there is still no real explanation for the fact that she keeps losing strands of her hair.
‘My hair has been a big part of me. Taking care of my hair’s been a ritual and having the choice to have it or not. And one day to be like, ‘Oh, my God, I might not have the choice anymore,’’ she went on.
Will Smith’s wife has kept her hair pretty short ever since she first cut it into a bob earlier this year.
In addition to that, she has also been wearing quite a lot of head wraps and turbans.
The hair loss is even the more unfortunate considering she used to have such long and thick hair ‘that people always thought I had weaves.’
But Jada realizes that God could’ve taken something even more important from her, so she is more Okay with losing her hair nowadays.
When she wears a turban now, she feels ‘like a queen,’ as she should!
