According to reports, Jackie Christie, one of the starring members of Basketball Wives, is trying to get Savannah Brinson on the show. TMZ claims that Jackie desperately wants Lebron’s wife to come on to the reality series because it would be a great plot-line, and ultimately, great for ratings and advertiser dollars.
Jackie said to the cameraman for TMZ, “come on Savannah! We need you!” When Christie and Doug were walking through the Los Angeles airport, Christie spoke with TMZ and that’s where she asked for her to come on to the show.
At the moment, no one knows for sure if Savannah Brinson will come on, but if she did, she would easily be the wife of one of the most prolific basketball players to appear on Basketball Wives.
Savannah Brinson is the wife of LeBron James, arguably the most famous NBA player in the world right now, other than Michael Jordan, who retired over a decade ago.
According to sources who spoke with us earlier, “the likelihood of her coming on to the show is very small. She has a lot going on in her world, so joining a reality TV series is kind of petty. She certainly doesn’t need the money either.”
HoopsHype.com reported that LeBron is currently the highest paid professional basketball player since Michael Jordan in the 1997/1998 season. For the 2018/2019 season, James received a solid pay check of approximately $35,000,000.
Thus, the likelihood of Savannah making an appearance is small, as most women who do make it on to the set, are less prolific, and possibly more in need.
As you may know, Basketball Wives got its start in April, 2010, and has since spawned a Los Angeles spin-off. And the 7th season premiered on the 14th of May, 2018. If Shaunie O’Neal, the show runner, can convince Savannah to come on to the series, another season is assured.
