The Braxton sisters have a lot of things to work out. Iyanla has a type of honesty that some believe the Braxton family could use more.
Recently Tamar Braxton accused Iyanla Vanzant of sex shaming her after she revealed she was molested by family members.
Iyanla mentioned that she could sue her for defamation of character after this. Then, there was also some footage of Iyanla walking out of the session with the sisters—and their parents.
She felt that her time was wasted when Tamar showed up late for the taping and Toni didn’t show up at all.
‘Tell me what’s going on? Because the agreement I made with all of you was to be here at 11. Next thing I know, Toni has an appointment. This can’t happen, that can’t happen…I have been sitting downstairs waiting for you. *Points to Tamar* They told me you weren’t here. They said you were coming. They told me to be here at 4:20. I ate in the car, out my lap to be here to honor my commitment. All of you stay here and participate in this. I don’t…I need order. I need clarity. I need honesty. I need respect. I’m not too good to eat in the car. But tell me what’s going on,’ Iyanla said.
When Tamar wanted to respond, Iyanla said, ‘Your behavior diminishes your message.’
Tamar’s mother Evelyn Braxton has been supporting her daughter after finding out that she was molested by a family member as a child. She was devastated when hearing the news.
