Ivanka Trump Brother-in-Law Joshua Kushner Spotted At Anti-Trump March

Joshua Kushner, the brother-in-law of First Daughter Ivanka Trump, has joined the protest against Donald Trump. Jared Kushner’s brother was spotted taking part in the Women’s March on Washington Saturday. It is not a secret that Joshua is a liberal, he voted for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. His girlfriend, model Karlie Kloss, also backed the former secretary of state for president. Nonetheless, appearing at anti-Trump march 24 hours after the business mogul became president is something entirely different.
The Kushner family via Charles Kushner, the two brothers’ father, has long ties to the Democratic party. Moreover, before Trump’s run for the presidency, it was unclear that Jared had an allegiance to the Republican Party.
The Women’s March on Washington attracted over 500,000 people, and there were similar ones in other big cities around the world. Overall, 2.5 million people came out to protest some of the policies advocated by the new administration. The protesters want to put pressure on Mr. Trump for him to resist the more extreme positions of the Republican Party platform.
Moreover, during the campaign, the former television star faced a lot of criticism over past statements he made regarding women. Trump never apologized and just kept marching toward a surprising victory in November. Not many people expect Trump to change his ways, so a lot of protesting will probably mark this presidency.
It remains to be seen if Joshua Kushner will take a bigger role in opposing the Trump administration. So far, despite being on different sides of the political spectrum, he has resisted criticizing his brother, at least publicly.
The new justice department has allowed Jared to play a significant part in the administration and serve as a White House adviser despite the existence of a federal anti-nepotism law.
