After no less than seven years of absence, last month, Danielle Staub returned to Real Housewives of New Jersey. Now, fellow reality TV star Teresa Giudice wanted to make peace with the RHONJ OG member.
‘I guess I kinda brought her back, with no regrets. I really feel like she did not get a fair chance and I wanted her to know I had no [part in] what happened,’ Giudice revealed in a brand new interview.
As longtime fans may remember, Teresa is referring to the fact that after the second season, during which Staub became pretty much everyone’s main enemy, including Teresa’s, the woman was axed from the show that made her famous.
Giudice went on to say that at the time everyone refused to shoot with her and that’s why she was fired.
From her point of view, that was really unfair towards Staub.
Teresa also stated that she was not one of those who said they didn’t want to film with Staub and wanted the woman to know that, as a fellow single mom she felt terrible for her.
‘At the time, she was a single mother raising two daughters. I came home [from jail] … and I am a single mother, so I wanted [Danielle] to know that I did have heart for back then, and she truly appreciated it and, you know, it was nice,’ Giudice shared about their emotional making up after so many years.
Teresa went on to say that the woman confessed to her that she was too scared to stand up for herself during that time and she admires her bravery to admit her feelings.
Giudice claimed people tried to keep them apart, but this season she is determined to really ‘get to know’ Staub.
Do you think these two Housewives can be good friends?
