I. Marlene King took to Twitter on June 26 to clear a few things up: she is not feuding with ‘Famous in Love’ lead Bella Thorne and the network has not made a decision to cancel the show or renew it for season three yet. This comes after Bella Thorne put Freeform on blast for not telling her that the teen drama she stars in has been canceled before they told the media.
The actress retweeted an article from an entertainment blog with a headline that claimed the show will not be returning. Her caption stated: “If this is how I find out our show is canceled..I’m going to be so upset. Very hurtful freeform. I woulda liked a phone call maybe.”
The rumor originated from The Hollywood Reporter who also insinuated that it may have been a relief for creator I. Marlene King because Bella Thorne has been a nightmare on set by displaying “diva-like behavior”.
Despite what may be out there I am not in a feud w @bellathorne. We have, and have always had, a friendly and professional relationship.

The report prompted fans of the show to take to social media and blame Thorne for getting the series canceled.
Creator of the series, King herself, decided that the story blew up so much that she needed to comment on it.
“Despite what may be out there I am not in a feud w @bellathorne. We have, and have always had, a friendly and professional relationship FACT: The ENTIRE @FamousinLoveTV cast and crew are crossing our fingers and toes as we light candles for a S3 pickup. And we are counting on you @FamousInLoveTV fans. Be loud, proud and bold. The cast and crew of @FamousInLoveTV loves our fans.” Marlene’s tweets read.

She also added the hashtag #Raige on as a nod to the fan favorite romance on “Famous in Love.”
Thorne recently took a trip to Texas to rally in support of refugee children and families seeking asylum in Tornillo. The actress has not commented on I. Marlene King’s responses but did show her support by retweeting them.
