Playboy founder Hugh Hefner’s funeral was carried out on September 30 while he was surrounded by friends and his loved ones. Here are all the details on the Hollywood icon’s ceremony.
Hugh Hefner was laid to rest at LA’s Westwood Village Memorial park at noon on Saturday.
The ceremony included his widow Crystal Harris and his four children, according to TMZ.
The only other attendees were some valuable employees from Playboy. This is surprising considering the countless celebrities that Hefner was known to be friends with over the decades.
Hugh Hefner is buried right next to Marilyn Monroe. He reportedly bought that particular plot for $75,000 back in 1992.
She isn’t the only deceased celebrity that Hugh is joining at this particular cemetery. Others include Farrah Fawcett, Merv
Others include stars such as Farrah Fawcett, Merv Griffin, and Rodney Dangerfield. Many of which had ties to the prestigious magazine over the years.
Hugh made sure that his wife Crystal was well taken care of long before he passed away.
His trust included a 5,900 square-foot home in the Hollywood Hills for her and $5 million. Even after his death, he continues to take care of his loved ones.
The historic Playboy Mansion already has a new owner: Hostess co-owner Daren Metropoulos.
He bought the mansion back in 2016, but he allowed the magazine founder to stay there.
This was understandable considering that the lavish home is only famous because Hefner decided to call it home back in 1971.
Since his death on September 27, countless celebrities have taken to social media to mourn his passing including Pamela Anderson who wrote ‘I am because of you,’ in a sad post. Rest in Peace, Hugh Hefner!
