Hugh Grant finally settled down at the young age of 57-years-old. On the 25th of May, Hugh got married to Anna Eberstein at the Chelsea Register Office.
In addition to his illustrious career as an actor, Hugh Grant found himself at the center of a scandal back in 1995 when he was caught with a hooker. According to reports, the ceremony was subtle and low-key, and not a lot of people knew about it beforehand.
A source who spoke with several British publications claimed, “It was just an intimate affair, nothing too serious, and nothing too fancy. Hugh isn’t a big fan of the media these days, in fact, he hasn’t enjoyed press ever since the 1990’s.”
The couple has had three children together for a very long time, as Eberstein gave birth to their third baby just three months ago. It’s an unlucky day for many of Hugh’s admirers, as no lucky lady has been able to get him to settle down for the longest time.
In an interview two years ago, Hugh said, “I have known a few good marriages, but very few. And others look like to me like they’re pretty miserable.”
The actor said that rarely is a marriage a “recipe for happiness.” Moreover, during a chat with CBS, the actor said “permanence” is something he’s not overly fond of.
And a fact that a lot of people forget is Grant also dated Elizabeth Hurley for several years, except Hugh got busted sleeping with prostitutes, so that didn’t end well for him.
It was probably one of the most embarrassing celebrity scandals of all time. On the 7th of June, 1995, someone called the police while in LA, California, when they witnessed a person receiving oral sex in a public place.
In addition to intense shame, Hugh had to undergo a two-year summary probation as well as the completion of an AIDS education program.
Jay Leno once asked him what he was thinking, and the actor said, “I did a bad thing. And there you have it.” His ex, Hurley, 52, said Hugh having all of these children have turned him from a “very miserable person” into just a “miserable person.”
