There is no doubt that things are going to get ugly during the new season of MTV’s The Challenge. The 32nd season of the reality show premieres this week, and this time they are calling it The Challenge: Final Reckoning. It will be the third in a trilogy of seasons that started with Dirty 30 followed by Vendettas. In Final Reckoning, competitors will be in South Africa battling as teams for a $1 million prize, and producers have partnered the contestants up with their biggest rivals.
As Us Weekly reports, putting two enemies on one team will bring the drama, and since the new season is starting, it’s a good time to look back and see how all of the feuds began.
Brad Fiorenza and Kyle Christie met last season, and when Fiorenza went after Christie to mess up his game, it resulted in Christie saying Fiorenza would always be his biggest vendetta.
Cara Maria Sorbello and Marie Roda became enemies as soon as they met on Dirty 30 since Roda constantly rallied against Sorbello. During the last challenge they tried to work together, but they were never on the same page. The women have also continued their feud on social media, with both of them constantly throwing shade at each other.
Kam Williams and Melissa Reeves had a screaming match during Vendettas that resulted in them being physically separated. And, Shane Landrum’s backdoor deals got under Nelson Thomas’ skin during The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions when they were on the same team, and that led to Thomas snapping on him.
In the first Dirty 30 competition, Jenna Compono saved Jemmye Carroll from going home, but later in the season Carroll didn’t return the favor and sent Compono into elimination against her best friend.
Faith Stowers and Angela Babicz are new to The Challenge, but they had a blowout during Ex on the Beach after Stowers went on a date with Babicz’ boyfriend.
Chris “C.T.” Tamburello worked with Veronica Portillo for years but sent her into elimination after claiming that no one wanted her on their team during Dirty 30. And on Invasion of the Champions, Amanda Garcia spread a rumor about Zach Nichols, saying that his girlfriend, Jenna, hooked up with Bruno.
Kailah Casillas and Kayleigh Morris had one of the biggest fights on Vendettas when Casillas and her friends bullied Morris and threw her belongings over a balcony in their house. Morris ended up leaving the show because she was so upset.
On season three of Are You the One? Britni Thornton and Chuck Mowery weren’t a match, but they continued hooking up during the show. Afterward, they had a relationship, and she moved to Hawaii to be with Mowery, but they eventually broke up. Then, she joined Vendettas and met Fiorenza.
Sylvia Elsrode was furious when Joss Mooney voted her into elimination on Vendettas because they were friends and she saw it as a stab in the back.
At the beginning of Dirty 30, Tori Deal and Derrick Henry were talking marriage. But, she realized her feelings weren’t as strong as she thought once he went home. Deal ended up getting close to Jordan, and she ended up breaking up with Henry and is now in a relationship with Jordan.
During season 18 of Big Brother, Natalie Negrotti turned the entire house against Paulie Calafiore, and because of this he has called her nasty names and refuses to apologize. And, Jozea Flores blames Da’Vonne Rogers for his eviction.
The Challenge: Final Reckoning premieres July 10th on MTV.
