Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning on honoring Princess Diana in a very special way next month. When the pair exchange vows on May 19 inside St. George’s Chapel, their official floral arrangement will feature Diana’s flower of choice, the white garden rose. How else are they honoring Diana’s memory?
Last summer marked the 20th anniversary of Diana’s tragic passing. In honor of her legacy, Kensington Palace installed a massive temporary garden in its courtyard. According to People, Harry and his brother, Prince William, helped put together the garden display, which featured white roses in memory of their mother.
Markle’s floral arrangement will also feature her favorite flower, peonies. Early in their relationship, the actress shared some photos of a delivery of peonies she received on Instagram, which has since been deleted. She wrote, “Swooning over these,” alongside the image, along with a “spoiledrotten” hashtag.
Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle have chosen floral designer @philippacraddock to create the church flowers for their wedding? The displays in St George's Chapel will feature foliage from The Crown Estate and Windsor Great Park, and will use seasonal plants including branches of beech, birch and hornbeam, as well as white garden roses, peonies and foxgloves. The designs will reflect the wild and natural landscapes from which many of the plants will be drawn. The Royal Parks will also supply pollinator-friendly plants from their wildflower meadows. These plants provide a great habitat for bees and help to sustain healthy and biodiverse ecosystems. ?PA
Philippa Craddock helped design Markle’s wedding flowers and recently opened up about what it was like working for the royal family.
Craddock, of course, had nothing but good things to say about Markle and Harry, and referred to the process as both “creative and fun.” She also revealed that the flowers were sourced from local vendors and that Harry and Markle are always thinking about sustainability.
Apart from the flowers, Harry paid tribute to his late-mother when he picked out Markle’s engagement ring. Harry had jewelers install two of Diana’s personal diamonds on the ring and Markle absolutely loved it.
The former Suits star never met Diana but was honored by the idea that a part of her will always be with them.
They may have never met in person, but Harry is confident that Diana and Markle would have gotten along just fine.
"I am also incredibly grateful that the woman I am about to marry, Meghan, will be joining me in this work, of which she too is hugely excited to take part in." https://t.co/PbgaK6wWlP

In fact, Harry believes that Diana would be thrilled about him tying the knot with Markle and that his soon-to-be wife would probably have been best friends with Diana. Harry also admitted that he misses his mother being around and wishes he could share this special moment with her.
After Markle officially becomes a member of the royal family, she and Harry are planning on taking tours of all the countries in the Commonwealth, where they will listen to the public and, just like Diana, initiate plans for future charity work.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be exchanging vows inside St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19.
