Brad Pitt is so ready for his marriage with Angelina Jolie to be over that he is willing to pay millions to make it happen. The actor has tried multiple times to get Jolie to sign the divorce papers, but so far, she has refused every settlement offer, even the latest one of a reported $100 million.
According to an insider at Life & Style, the 53-year-old is anxious to end his marriage and move on with his life, but Jolie is dragging her feet. In response, he has advised his attorney to sweeten the deal by throwing an obscene amount of money at his ex.
“In hopes of getting Angie to sign off on the divorce, Brad started throwing huge financial settlement offers at her lawyer,” says the source. “Angie has rejected every single offer, including the most recent one, for $100 million.”
There really isn’t anything the two should be fighting over. As Hollywood Life reports, the two signed an “ironclad prenup” before they got married in 2014, but it doesn’t seem to be helping the process move any quicker.
In a new interview on The Hollywood Reporter podcast, Angelina Jolie did not talk specifically about her divorce settlement, but the 42-year-old did open up a bit about filming the movie By The Sea with Brad Pitt just before the end of their relationship.
She said that she knew something was wrong in their marriage while they filmed back in 2015, and that “heaviness” gripped her while she was on the set of the film she wrote and directed. The Oscar winner said that at first, she was excited to work with Pitt because they had met working together back in 2005 on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith and they worked together well.
Jolie went on to say that the role in By the Sea was challenging, but they had matured since they first worked together, and she wanted to do something serious, thinking it would be a good way for the couple to communicate.

The drama told the story of a couple whose 14-year marriage is crumbling because of multiple miscarriages. She shot the movie during an extremely difficult time in her life – just after she underwent a double mastectomy and lost her mother to breast cancer.
Jolie says she now finds herself wondering why she wrote that piece when she did and why they felt the way they did about it. She isn’t sure of the answers to those questions, but she concluded that a piece of art can be healing, or it can be difficult.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have not publicly commented on their divorce proceedings.
