If you’re out of ideas as to what movies to watch, we have prepared some ideas for you. See which are the best horror movies that are currently available on Netflix and choose the ones that seem more appealing, if you find any! Keep in mind that this is no ranking, just a brief list randomly compiled.
- The Babadook. Dubbed the scariest film of 2014, The Babadook shows us a darker side of parenting, being produced by Jennifer Kent. It tells the story of a single mother who finds out the boogeyman is real, with her son Samuel being a problem child to say the least.
- The Crow. Though many say that this is not a horror movie as such, The Crow represents a revenge tale that also has some really dark moments. It’s based on a famous comic book and it tells the story of Eric Draven, a dead musician that comes back to life with the help of a supernatural crow.
- Cujo. Based on a book written in 1981 by Stephen King, this 1983 adaptation stars Dee Wallace. It’s about a woman and a child that are trapped in a car as they are followed by a ravenous dog. Though it’s not that horror, it is still a great thriller.
- Dead Snow. This is an interesting movie, unlike any other zombie movies you might have seen until now. It follows the story of a handful of friends who go camping and skiing and stay overnight at a cabin in the woods. While this might seem harmless (if you don’t usually watch horror movies), what they don’t know is that the mountain houses some rogue Nazis who were frozen to death in 1944. You have to appreciate the original idea and the desire to go beyond the zombie cliches you normally see in this type of movies.
