Quentin Tarantino is being blasted for his upcoming project by a lot of Hollywood stars. Judd Apatow and more are slamming the movie director’s Charles Manson film before it even had a chance to get started.
Tarantino spoke about this subject and defended himself against the claims made by Uma Thurman.
She stated that the director was ‘negligent to the point of criminality’ when he made her perform a stunt on the set of Kill Bill: Volume 2 during which she was in a car crash.
Tarantino said that this is the most significant regret of his life and apologized.
The movie director was also criticized by defending Roman Polanski in an older interview about his 1977 sexual assault.
That case involved a 13-year-old girl and Tarantino said that it was not rape.
Apatow tweeted the following words related to Tarantino: ‘Tarantino also ignored Daryl Hannah’s complaints when she was harassed by Harvey Weinstein. And now Tarantino is going to make a movie about Polanski,’ whose wife Sharon Tate was murdered by the Mansons back in 1969.
‘Why is someone financing this?’ he asked.
More people even suggested boycotting the movie when it comes out. This project is backed by Sony and it’s worth around $100 million.
Latest rumors are saying that Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie will star in the movie even if it seems that there are no official deals sealed yet.
