Hillary Clinton wishes she would’ve done something different during her debate with Donald Trump back in October of 2016. Hillary said to Yara Shahidi on Saturday that she wanted to call out Trump’s behavior during the contest.
The moment Hillary refers to was when Trump walked firmly behind her, allegedly in an attempt to “intimidate her.”
Clinton wondered how things would’ve gone if she would’ve said, “You love to intimidate women, but back up you creep!” However, Hillary conceded that, if she had responded aggressively people in the public’s sphere and the media would’ve claimed she was “unfit” for the Presidency.
The former Presidential candidate said, “Or oh she got so angry, and the last thing we want is an angry woman in the Oval Office.”
Additionally, Hillary alluded to when Trump called her a “nasty woman” during the debates as if Hillary didn’t do the same thing to him during their respective presidential campaigns.
However, according to Clinton, “it didn’t end up hurting” Donald because “men are allowed a much broader range of emotions” to demonstrate the way they feel.
As you may know, Donald Trump defeated Clinton last year after a win in the Electoral College. Many people took to the streets for the “Women’s March” in DC, with over a million people marching in protest of Trump’s take over of the executive branch.
However, an often unheard fact is that those who attended the “Women’s March” had already booked hotel rooms in the city to celebrate the win of Hillary Clinton. Many in the media thought that Hillary would win for sure, considering the release of the 2005 Access Hollywood tapes.
