This is significant news, Hillary Clinton is apparently plotting some political comeback with the assistance of her husband, Bill Clinton – to help other Democrats get and stay in power. More than a dozen people have spoken to the media singing the same tune, there have been numerous meeting at the former secretary of state’s compound in New York, and she has some plans for her political future. While the former New York senator is recovering from her stunning loss to Donald Trump, she and a large team of political experts are pouring over data to understand where did they go wrong.
It is not known which factor is to be blamed for her defeat, but many are pointing to her lack of efforts to reach out to the Obama coalition and Bernie Sanders supporters. James Comey’s two email-related bombshells, and the video that surfaced on 9/11, which confirmed that she had health issues also contributed to her defeat.
Clinton has talked on numerous occasions with her former campaign manager, Robby Mook, about polling errors and her under-performance in states like Florida, Michigan and New Hampshire, which were won by Obama. A person, who took part in the meetings, said: “She understands that a forensic exam of the campaign is necessary, not only for her, but for the party and other elected, and for the investors in the campaign. People want to know that their investment was treated with respect, but that their mistakes wouldn’t be repeated.”
The sources said despite the rumors, Mrs. Clinton has no plans to start her own political party, she is a Democrat and will forever be one. Instead, she is seriously thinking about joining the Organizing For Action, former President Barack Obama’s initiative. Clinton also wants to campaign for the new generation of Democrats in 2018.
According to the reports, former President Clinton is back at work at the foundation and is searching for answers in the Comey debacle. Mrs. Clinton does not know what the future holds, but one thing is sure she will not be running for the mayor of New York City.
A friend of the Clintons said unlike Mitt Romney, who is unable to stop running for president; she has moved on and is busy writing a book. The pal said: “The Democratic Party does need new blood, new faces, and I don’t think Bill or Hillary Clinton would ever want to get back and run for anything — I don’t think a team of mules could drag them to do that.”
The Democratic party is torn, some members are thrilled to have the husband-wife duo campaign for them especially in local races, while others just want them to retire from politics so they can enjoy their grandchildren.
