Meghan Markle made her first appearance as a Duchess on Tuesday with her husband, Harry, along with Prince Charles, and his wife, Camilla. However, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law were nowhere to be seen. Reportedly, although some people have speculated that it was because of some kind of family drama, it’s actually for a different reason.
William and his wife had another prior engagement to go to that afternoon, so they couldn’t attend. The pair was at the Manchester Garden Cathedral to mark the one year anniversary of the Manchester Arena Attack.
As it was previously reported, twenty-two people died in the bombing at the Ariana Grande concert on that fateful evening. The suspect who committed the crime was supposedly connected to the Islamic State, although some tried to refrain from labeling it as a terrorist attack.
Either way, the royal family has been doing great since Meghan and Harry got married. And Kate is feeling well too, as she’s currently on the last legs of her maternity leave.
However, despite being on a legal vacation, she’s still making many public appearances. As you may know, Kate and William recently had a baby.
As for Kate’s relationship with the “Suits” alum, sources told us they “get along great,” which makes sense considering Kate was in a similar position back in 2011 when she first entered the royal family.
Her wedding to William was one of the most widely watched events in the history of the world, bringing in around 2 billion people. Because of their commonalities, Kate and Meghan, 36, have since started to talk a lot.
An insider explained, “Meghan and Kate get along super well. They’re both funny, have a good sense of humor, and are hard working as well as compassionate for charitable causes. There’s no question that they’ll both become really good friends.”
