One would think that Halle Berry would have enough of dominating the Hollywood scene. But as it turns out, the first African-American woman to win the Oscar for Best Actress is looking to get into the director’s chair.
Reportedly, the X-Men alum is currently in the middle of planning her very first directorial pursuit in an action-drama movie called, Bruised, revolving around a disgraced MMA fighter who has to rehabilitate herself while caring for her child.
Currently, Berry is finishing the latest instalment of John Wick alongside Mr. Keanu Reeves, and many of the connections she made while on the set of John Wick 3 will serve her career as a director.

According to Deadline, the John Wick producer, Basil Iwankyk, Linda Gottlieb, and others will work on Halle’s latest movie. If her career in the director’s chair is anything like her skills as an actress, one can only look forward to what she has in store.
Halle has a long history of drama and action movies, including 2000’s X-Men, as well as 2001’s Monster’s Ball, co-starring beside Billy Bob Thornton.
The latter of which secured her Academy Award for Best Actress, the only time an African-American woman has won the Oscar in history. Her life hasn’t been without controversy though.
Halle has had several marriages and boyfriends, all three of which have fallen through the cracks. Regardless, that hasn’t stopped other men from pursuing the Hollywood beauty.
Last year, the R & B artist, Trey Songz, said he hit up Halle on Instagram for “the culture.” During an interview, Halle said she didn’t even know what he meant by the “culture,” so that probably means she’s not interested.
