Following her mental breakdown Heather Locklear is resting at home. According to a report from Radar Online, the Melrose Place alum is out of the hospital and back at her California property after undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.
The 56-year-old former model/actress went to a hospital in Thousand Oaks, California, on the 17th of June, after a family member called the police because she was behaving erratically.
According to the news outlet, the relative of Locklear claimed she was hunting around the house for a gun to shoot herself. The caller claimed she was threatening to “self-harm.”
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Fire Department, showed up to the star’s home around 4:00 pm on Sunday. A source who spoke with Us Weekly told them that “there wasn’t a crime” but a medical issue.
Later on, the fire department told the organization that the home was declared as a “hazard” because of incidents at the house. Why they called it a “hazard,” instead of a mental health issue, is currently unknown.
On the 20th of June, Wednesday, Locklear’s fiancé and former Melrose Place co-star, Jack Wagner, said to the online magazine, Extra, that everyone has mental health struggles at some point or another, and we should be less judgmental.
Jack said that he “loves Heather to death” and hopes she’s able to turn her life around in a big way. As it was previously reported, the police took Heather into the station after she assaulted a police officer.
They charged her with misdemeanor battery and domestic violence. At the time, she was fighting with her boyfriend, Chris Heisser, and an insider who sat down with us explained that she has been working on her mental state.
Nevertheless, we wish Heather the best and hope she can get her life turned around.
