According to new reports, Heather Locklear risks spending up to five years in jail following her assault arrest! In addition to that, she might be banned from owning a firearm for a decade.
Official documents have revealed that if the troubled actress ends up getting convicted of all five counts of battery of a police officer, the court will also order her to not possess any guns anymore, for at least ten years!
As for her sentence behind bars, Ventura County Senior Deputy District Attorney Thomas Dunlevy told us that Heather could spend one year in jail for every one of the five counts.
As you may be aware by now, the police showed up to Locklear due to reports of domestic violence.
She apparently had a huge argument with her fiancé Christopher Heisser last month, and she ended up attacking him.
Upon arriving at the scene, one officer also experienced the extent of the woman’s wrath.
She kicked him in the shin, and as she was being handcuffed, Heather continued to scream at him curse words such as: ‘Get out of my f***ing house!’
The actress was charged with four misdemeanor counts of battery of a police officer and one of resisting arrest.
The search warrant read that she showed ‘erratic, aggressive behavior toward law-enforcement.’
As a result, they feared that she might have been planning on committing ‘suicide by cop.’
The authorities decided to confiscate her Smith and Wesson .38 revolver but did not manage to find it in her home.
Heather Locklear was set to arrive in court for the first appearance arraignment today, but she did not show up.
Her lawyer asked to go on with her scheduled arraignment at Ventura County Superior Court.
