Harrison Ford has finally decided to openly talk about his infamous affair with late Star Wars legend Carrie Fisher – sort of. In a recent interview, the actor managed to somehow sidestep a lot of questions about the affair that Carrie opened up about in her memoir The Princess Diarist.
About the book, Ford said it was strange even though he was warned to a degree.
When they had their fling on the set of the popular movies in 1976, Carrie Fisher was no older than 19 while Harrison Ford was 33.
Not only was there a significant age difference between the two actors but he was also married to his first wife Mary Marquardt and was also a father to two children.
Later that same year, Ford and his wife filed for divorce.
‘I do not know [what to say about the memoir]. You know, with Carrie’s untimely passing, I do not really feel that it is a subject that I want to discuss,’ Ford explained.
The actor did not say whether or not he would’ve preferred if the book didn’t exist, but he confessed he hadn’t read it.
Carrie Fisher will appear for the last time in Star Wars: The Last Jedi but while Han Solo, played by Ford was killed in the last film, a return is not completely out of the question for the man.
However, although he will definitely come back if they still need him in the storyline, Ford did confess he’d rather not return as he’d like to do something else at this point.
