Melania Trump was dressed like she was going to a safari with a tan coat and leopard print shoes as she headed to Africa.
This is the first international and diplomatic trip for the first lady without her husband, Donald Trump.
The former model will be on the continent for one week; she will land in Accra, Ghana on Tuesday and will visit Malawi, Kenya, and Egypt.
Melania is cleaning up after The Donald who called Haiti and many African countries “shi$holes.”
Melania’s spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, said that it will be a “diplomatic and humanitarian visit” where Melania will focus on her #BeBest campaign for children and their well-being.”
Grisham stated: “Melania is hoping to visit the countries to learn what their challenges are, and also see where the US is having a positive impact or results.”
She went on to say: “To that end, our office has been working closely with USAID [the United States Agency for International Development] and each stop will focus on one or more projects they have been working on within each country. The visits will include stops having to do with education, healthcare, some conservation and tourism–and as with all that she does through her initiative Be Best, the well-being of children will be her focus.”
A source spoke to Hollywood Life and said Melania is happy to flee Washington and the countless scandals created by The Donald.
The insider explained: “Melania is extremely excited to be spending time in Africa and is really looking forward to her first solo trip overseas. With everything going on right now at home, it will be a huge relief to get away from the never-ending drama.”
The source went on to say: “Donald has been acting like a bear with a sore head for weeks now, and is constantly ranting or raving about somebody,” our source went on to say. “It’s getting to the stage where Donald doesn’t trust anybody, and he seems to be in a state of constant paranoia. It’s utterly exhausting to be around him.”
Some are applauding Melania, while others say she is going to Africa for a photo op.
