Happy Death Day was a surprise hit in movie theaters last week and after the initial worldwide gross has been tallied, the movie far exceeded its initial budget. After bringing in 26 million on Friday the 13th, opening night, the movie has brought in a total of 31 million worldwide.
Not bad for a movie with an initial budget of 4.8 million. In addition to praise for the slasher movie, Jessica Rothe is also rising in popularity. After appearing in the blockbuster movie La La Land, many want to know where they will be able to see Jessica Rothe and the other cast members next.
Jessica Rothe will next be seen in the small supporting role of Julie in the October 27, 2017, movie Please Stand by Me. The movie stars Dakota Fanning who plays an autistic girl who runs away from caregivers in order to enter a writing contest.

Jessica Rothe has two movies that are set for a 2018 release. First up is Forever My Girl where she plays the lead character Josie alongside Alex Roe who plays her love interest, Liam Page. The movie is a romance and is set for release on January 26, 2018.
Following Forever My Girl is what might be one of Jessica’s biggest roles of her career. Jessica will star as Julie Richman in the remake of the 1983 cult classic Valley Girl. The original movie starred Nicholas Cage as Randy and Deborah Foreman as Julie Richman.
In the original, Julie is an all-American preppy girl who falls in love punk boyRandy. It seems that everyone including friends and family is against their relationship and they shouldn’t have much in common, except true love.
Jessica Rothe is getting more popular following the success of Happy Death Day and actress Mae Whitman will also be in the movie. YouTube sensation Logan Paul plays the role of Mickey. Julie Richman’s love interest Randy is played by Poldark’s Josh Whitehouse.
