As fans of the reality TV couple know, on Friday, Kendra Wilkinson filed for divorce from her husband, Hank Baskett. Now, we have learned that the former NFL celeb has filed his response.
According to some court papers, the man cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the main reason why they decided to put an end to their marriage.
In addition to that, the docs also reveal that both Kendra and Hank requested joint legal custody of their children – daughter Alijah, 3 and 8-year-old son Hank Jr.
As for spousal support, the estranged pair decided to discuss it at a later date.
The documents noted that they ‘reserve for future determination the issue of support payable to Petitioner and Respondent.’
Baskett listed their marriage day as June 27, 2009, and they split as January 1, 2018.
They were married for no less than eight years and six months.
Kendra took to her Instagram account on Friday to confirm the sad split, and her message was just as heartbreaking.
‘Today is the last day of my marriage to this beautiful man. I will forever love Hank and be open, but for now we have chosen to go our own ways,’ she wrote.
The pair has been having problems for quite some time.
Back in 2015, Baskett was rumored to have cheated on his wife with a transgender model.
However, Hank denied the accusations, saying he just froze when she began to fondle him.
‘I did not engage in anything. It was like a bank robbery. You never know when you will freeze. I do not know if it was a couple of seconds or 15 seconds, because all I was saying was get out, get out, get out,’ he claimed at the time.
Still, their marital issues continued and the former Playboy bunny admitted that they went to couple’s counseling as well.
It looks like their marriage just couldn’t be saved in the end.
