It may be September but Halloween is already in gear. From stores to television shows, fall is in the air and Halloween themed programming is making a return. One of the most popular Halloween series airs on the Food Network and is titled the Halloween Baking Championship. Hosted by John Henson with judges Carla Hall, Lorraine Pascale, and Zac Young. Each week, eight bakers face off to meet the given challenge as they fight for the grand prize of $25,000. Season 4 kicked off on September 24, 2018, and devoted fans of the series were delighted to have Halloween Baking Championship back on the air.
Halloween Baking Championship is more than just another reality series with a large prize, but it’s a festive way to see some amazing Halloween-themed treats. The bakers are challenged with very intricate designs and viewers are often inspired to create their own similar recipes.
The Food Network often provides other Halloween themed recipes based off of their programs.

The eight bakers competing on Halloween Baking Championship Season 4, come from different backgrounds yet all work in the industry as professional bakers or pastry chefs.
Andrew Fuller is from Des Moines, Iowa and owns his own bakery. Lyndsay McDonald is from Sarasota, Florida and is also a professional. Lyndsay works as a pastry chef for an all-star hotel.
Also from Florida is Jamal Lake. Originally from the Virgin Islands, Jamal is a professional baker currently established in West Palm Beach.
Brenda Villacorta is from New York, New York and is a classically trained pastry chef. Another New Yorker on Halloween Baking Championship is Brian Fishman. Fishman is from Oceanside and is the owner of Long Island’s Sweet Karma Desserts.
Cicely Austin is from Anderson, South Carolina and works as an executive pastry chef for a university.
Steven Vargas, Jr. is from Houston, Texas and works as a pastry cook for a hotel. Finally, the last contestant is the bubbly Michelle Honeman. Michelle also works as a professional baker operating her home business in Beaverton, Oregon.
