After dating for over three years, Gwyneth Paltrow and her writer beau, Brad Falchuk are engaged to be married.
The two of them have reportedly been discussing marriage for the better part of a year, but since both of them have been married previously, they wanted to take their time and didn’t want to rush into it.
The two met in 2014 on the set of Glee which was executive produced and co-created by Falchuk. They were dating for a while in secret, but then made their first public appearance as a couple in 2015 at the Scream Queens premiere in L.A.
Reports say the two have also already shot engagement photos together, likely to be released on Paltrow’s website. It’s reported that they’ve actually been engaged, or at the very least, talking about engagement for the better part of a year.
Paltrow was married to ex-husband Chris Martin, frontman of Coldplay, for 10 years and they separated in May 2014. Both speak openly about being amicable with one another as they co-parent their two children, Apple, 13, and Moses, 11.
Falchuk, who was previously married to Stephanie Falchuk also has two children from his previous marriage: Isabella and Brody. So there’s a blended family dynamic that will soon become very apparent if it hasn’t already.
Paltrow has been upfront about being “cautious about marriage” since her first divorce, despite how well she and her ex get along. She was very happy with where her relationship with Falchuk was for years but they have decided to take that next step into an official union.
Falchuk spends most of his time in Los Angeles as he’s a writer-producer and has been for over 15 years. He has a special professional kinship with tv showrunner Ryan Murphy and has written on virtually every show he’s done, spanning all the way back to the Nip/Tuck days in 2003. After years, he’s become co-creator on shows like Glee, Scream Queens and now 9-1-1.
Falchuk loves to post pictures of Gwyneth on his Instagram and reports say that they two are a great match for one another.
This is the most beautiful woman of all time and today is her birthday. We are all so lucky that she came into the world (but no one is luckier than me). Happy Birthday, Love. PS – this is pretty much the most #Gwyneth pic I could find – it has pizza, red wine, her phone and that fucking perfect smile.
Congrats to the happy couple!
