Even though their breakup was mutual and peaceful, it turns out that the actress was still ‘disappointed’ by it. As fans know, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin put an end to their relationship in 2014 after being married for a decade!
Earlier today on her Goop podcast, the star just so happened to also celebrate ten years since she started the company and opened up about her and Chris’ uncoupling.
Gwyneth Paltrow ‘consciously uncoupled’ from Chris Martin, but it doesn’t mean she was happy about it.
‘I think Chris and I are really like-minded. We were disappointed our marriage was not going to work, and we were not going to have the thing where you are married to the parent of your children for the rest of your lives,’ the actress told her audience.
The exes share two children together – Moses, 12 and Apple, 14.
Paltrow addressed her controversial decision to refer to the divorce in the split announcement as ‘conscious uncoupling’ saying she did not regret it.
However, she admitted she does have some regrets.
‘I think I have learned so much through this whole process. I think, that sometimes, especially when I look back at some of my most vulnerable moments, I was very earnest and sometimes that is just cringe-worthy. Where you are like, ‘Oh, why did I do that?’ But this was a time when I was in a lot of pain.’
Since the divorce from Chris Martin, Gwyneth has moved on, and she is now engaged to Brad Falchuk.
Meanwhile, Martin is reportedly dating Dakota Johnson.
When asked about their nearly one-year-long relationship during an interview with Tatler, Dakota responded: ‘I’m not going to talk about it. But I am very happy.’
