As it turned out, Keyshia Ka’oir was telling the truth when she said her children were at her wedding.
The millions of people, who watched The Mane Event on BET, were quick to flock to social media to say a lot about Gucci Mane’s all-white wedding.
Many complimented Keyshia for putting on a show that will be hard to beat — all eyes are on Cardi B and Migos rapper Offset.
It is not every day a bride walks on diamonds and have flowers floating on the ceiling.
However, a majority of viewers were upset by the fact that Keyshia did not have her children at the big event. A ton of conspiracy theories hit the Web.
One of them claimed that she was hiding her children in Jamaica and another stated that she did not want them in the spotlight because it would reveal her real age.
One person said: “Sooo, she has 3 grown kids, and y’all trying to tell me she is 32 years old???? Her hands are screaming 40 something! Where are the kids? I did not see them at the wedding? did u see kids there?”
Another defended her decision to hide her children, saying: “Man if you do not stop with conspiracy theorist leave her alone. She said they live with her. She just keeps them out of the spotlight.”
A third commenter claimed: “I saw it last week. Started to post it but didn’t feel like hearing everybody’s negatives, so I just said forget it cause the woman does what she wants her kids. They are her children after all.”
Via Instagram, Keyshia shut the haters up by posting a picture with her oldest daughter, Dior who is next to her and her other daughter, Sade, on the far left. Her third daughter was not present.
Gucci also posted a picture where Keyshia’s son, Deion, is part of the bridal party.
Keyshia explained why she keeps her kids away from social media.
She stated: “I am like ‘damn, we was just y’all relationship goals yesterday!’ Now we getting married today, and all you want to come for me with all these abandoned children in Jamaica [rumors]. People were Photoshopping four kids with Gucci in the middle!”
She added: “Gucci and I both have children. It is a situation where I am proud to be a mother, but I need it to be private. I do not need the kids in the limelight. I do not want them on social media. I need them to go to school and just be children. Even when we are on Snapchat, a lot of times the kids are taking the snaps. Just because we do not show them to you does not mean we are bad parents or we are hiding them….the internet, they are bullies and trolls.”
