Grey’s Anatomy star Kevin McKidd has finalized his divorce from Jane, his wife of 17 years, and it comes with an extremely high price tag. The Scottish actor, who has played Dr. Owen Hunt for ten seasons, will share custody of his two teenagers, but the monthly child and spousal support payments are staggering.
According to TMZ, the actor will pay $22,400 a month in child support and $65,096 in spousal support. Jane will also get 20 percent of any income Kevin receives over $3 million. They each received a house in the settlement and will share ownership of a third house in Malibu.

When the kids turn 18, he will no longer have to pay child support, but he will pay his ex-wife an additional $12,147 a month in spousal support for four years.
The couple set up a “nesting arrangement” for physical custody of Iona, 17, and Joseph, 15, – where the kids stay at a family home and the parents rotate in and out.
Per the New York Daily News, the two separated in October 2015 and Jane filed for divorce in June 2016. A rep for the couple says that their top priority is co-parenting their children and they will continue to enjoy a caring relationship.
McKidd recently spoke to DA MAN Magazine about his career, and he revealed that he would like to do more things behind the camera.
“Yes, I would love to direct more and expand the stories I’ve told through directing. It’s a very challenging job. It’s exhausting on the brain but is also very creative and fulfilling. It helps that I love working with actors and I’m not intimidated. Probably because I am one,” said McKidd.
He also admitted that he would like to write something, but he is intimidated by it and is in awe of people that have the ability.
McKidd says that the driving force behind his success as an actor is due to his shyness as a kid. He says acting gave him an outlet to express himself and it drives him to be truthful. He added that being famous has never been important to him and has never been something that drives him.
As far as his future plans, he says one of his dreams is to perform in a Broadway or West End musical.
McKidd has sung a few songs on Grey’s Anatomy, and he says that he gets his love of music from his grandfather on his mom’s side – who was a singer and entertainer in local pubs in the Scottish Highlands.
Another creative dream project would be to do something in the science fiction genre because he is a big fan.
Kevin McKidd returns to Thursday nights when Grey’s Anatomy premieres the second half of Season 14 on January 18.
