The actor was rushed to the hospital after being involved in a scary accident. George Clooney’s scooter was hit by a car while riding around Sardinia, an Italian island.
A hospital official confirmed to NBC that his injuries were not very bad, so the 57-year-old got discharged pretty fast.
‘George was treated and released from an Olbia hospital. He is recovering at home and will be fine,’ one rep told E! News.
Carabinieri Lt. Alberto Cicognani explained that it all took place this morning at around 8 A.M. A vehicle cut across the star’s path in an intersection and he was struck.
Local media reported that he was then taken by an ambulance to John Paul II Hospital, after suffering ‘trauma to his knee.’
Clooney got an MRI to check the extent of his knee injury and his wife, Amal Clooney, rushed to his side.
Cicognani confirmed that George was, fortunately, ‘not seriously injured.’
