Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are an official royal couple now, and weeks after their wedding, some family members, and close friends just can’t stop talking about the fated pair! One of those who are still gushing over the wedding that took place 20 days ago is one of their newest pals, George Clooney.
The famous actor was in attendance at the American Film Institute’s Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute last night where he received the Life Achievement Award.
While there, Clooney told ET what exactly he thinks makes Harry and Meghan’s romance so perfect.
‘They are just so happy. They’re happy and in love and we need good news in the world,’ he shared.
The Hollywood star added that being a guest at the wedding with wife Amal was ‘really fun.’
Speaking of Amal, the human rights lawyer has developed a very close friendship with Meghan and helped the new royal adapt to her life in a new country and environment.
Proving that they are also a perfect couple, Amal took the stage at the event yesterday and talked about her hubby.
‘I met George when I was 35, and I was starting to become quite resigned to the idea that I was going to be a spinster. Then we met and started hiding out in my London flat, and very soon it felt like no matter what happened I’d never want to be with anyone else,’ she sweetly said.
Amal went on to reveal that ‘I couldn’t sleep when we were apart, and was told I would display a particular grin or head tilt when reading his text messages or the letters he’d hide in my bag. Five years later, none of that has changed. He’s the person who has my complete admiration and also the person whose smile makes me melt every time.’ How cute!
