There is no shortage of Game of Thrones teasers these days. This time, Game of Thrones star Nathalie Emmanuel dropped a few hints about what’s ahead in the series finale. Emmanuel teased that the last episode is mind blowing and that every character’s storyline will reach a satisfying end in Season 8.
Emmanuel, who plays Daenerys Targaryen’s (Emilia Clarke) trusted advisor Missandei, told fans that Season 8 ups the stakes even higher than last year. She also explained that the pace quickens because there are so many storylines to wrap up.

Despite the fast pace and multiple stories to juggle, Emmanuel assured fans that they will be satisfied when they find out how each journey ends. But that doesn’t mean everything ends on a positive note.
“It is going to be incredibly exciting and heartbreaking,” Emmanuel teased. “I feel like people will have their mind blown when they watch the final one.”
Game of Thrones is scheduled to return to HBO sometime in early 2019. The final season will only feature six episodes. According to Entertainment Weekly, each episode will not be two hours in length like previously reported. Producers, however, hope that fans will be satisfied with each episode as they wrap up what has been an incredible run.
The biggest question heading into the final season, of course, is which character will end up ruling Westeros. So far, the frontrunners are Daenerys and Jon Snow (Kit Harington), though a new fan theory puts an interesting twist on Daenerys’ fate. The theory argues that instead of sitting on the Iron Throne when the show ends, Daenerys will replace the Night King and become the Night Queen.

The theory is based on some pretty deep Game of Thrones lore about the legendary hero, Azor Ahai. As the story goes, Azor killed his wife, Nissa Nissa (the suspected original Night Queen), in order to stop the Long Night and banish the White Walkers from Westeros. Jon is thought to be the Azor reborn, which makes Daenerys the reincarnation of Nissa Nissa.
In order to defeat the Night King, the theory argues that Daenerys will turn into the Night Queen and Jon will subsequently kill her. Whether or not that happens is yet to be seen, but it is certainly an interesting theory to think about.
HBO has yet to announce an official premiere date for Season 8 of Game of Thrones.
