Emilia Clarke is dishing more spoilers about the Game of Thrones finale. We’re still a year away from seeing everything unfold, but Clarke recently assured fans that some people will like how the show ends and others might just “scream” at their TV.
Clarke didn’t reveal any plot spoilers about the Game of Thrones finale. She did, however, explain that the show’s ending will be divisive among fans. “People will scream, and people will say, ‘That’s exactly what I wanted,” she stated, adding that her mom will probably react differently.
Producers have kept a tight lid on spoilers as filming for the final season continues, but Clarke isn’t the only Game of Thrones star who has talked about who ends up on the Iron Throne. A few weeks ago, Nathalie Emmanuel, who plays Missandei on the show, admitted that she would like to see Daenerys (Clarke) rule Westeros when the war is over. Emmanuel explained how Daenerys is perfect for ruling the country and has the power to accomplish anything she wants.
If Daenerys comes out on top, then the next biggest question is whether Jon Snow (Kit Harington) rules at her side. The two characters finally hooked up last season after Jon pledged his allegiance to the Dragon Queen.
But with the war against the White Walkers raging in the north, there’s no telling if Jon and Daenerys will come out alive by the series finale. Their future seems bright, but a lot can happen in one season.
While we wait for more spoilers, Clarke recently gave a hilarious tour of one of the sets of Game of Thrones. In the clip, Clarke promises to show fans some behind-the-scenes footage but keeps getting rejected by staffers.
She ends up retreating to her trailer, where there is a healthy amount of Jason Momoa photos taped to the wall. Harington also shows up at the end of the video but only to inform Clarke that she needs to turn off the cameras.
Clarke’s tour was all in good fun and was meant to promote the Omaze campaign, which will send one lucky fan to a Game of Thrones set in Ireland. Filming for the final season is expected to continue throughout this summer.
HBO has not announced an official premiere date for the final season of Game of Thrones. The show is not expected to premiere until sometime in 2019.
