Gabourey Sidibe has decided to keep her latest photo shoot very real, and fans are loving it while haters are doing what they do best — hate.
The Empire actress is in full promo mode to push her new project, The Tale of Four, which is based on 1966’s Nina Simone song, “Four Women.”
The movie follows four very different black women fighting for justice. The stunning photos were released by Refinery29 to promote the film.
The shoot took place in New York City, and Miss Sidibe wore several stunning outfits that heightened her weight loss.
In one photo, Sidibe sported a glittery black dress that featured a cutout that showed off her flat stomach.
She completed the look with a necklace made of gold leaves. The director wore a stunning rose gold maxi dress with a low-cut and slit.
In most of the photos, the outspoken star and animal lover has her arms up in the air and reaching for the sun.
As previously stated Sidibe is a mega fan of Beyonce which is why it is not that surprising that she posted a clip where she is singing and dancing to “Love On Top.”
Most fans of the diva found she looked great and sophisticated and are happy that she lost the weight. Others think she needs to remove the extra skin to be prettier.
One fan said: “Where’d she get that dress it’s gorgeous on her skin. She does look fantastic. Getting shaped, love ur swag dear.Picture of health and confidence.”
A second supporter stated: “Precisely the girl was fat, and she is losing weight NATURALLY I hope. THAT is confidence, and it’s healthy. Ppl love judging and criticizing and it’s not easy.”
A third person defended her decision not to Photoshop the pictures by writing: “Love the black dress and that peach one. She’s not ashamed of her skin she hit.In other parts of the world, it’s not even a big deal whether or not women have armpit and leg hair. Some of y’all need to grow up. As long as you’re confident in yourself and put deodorant on, I don’t care. Keep doing you Gabby! You’re killing it girl!!!”
A fourth commenter added: “No this one looks amazing, I know gabby is so proud of her body and is beyond confident in her own skin regardless of if ignorant [email protected] are uncomfortable with her confidence. Make sure yah don’t set my girl up tho and get her poses right, all women have “good sides, ” and we like our pictures on point.”
